Samtengang Winter Trek with Bhutan Majestic Travel
My son, Josh, and I took a 10 day trip to Bhutan; we booked this trip through Bhutan Majestic Travel. Our trip include a 3 1/2 day trek.. Samtengang Winter Trek which was really wonderful. We also hiked to Taktsang Lhakhang (the Tiger’s Nest Monastery) and went to Phobjikha to see the Sacred Black Necked Cranes. In between these highlights we saw many other Monasteries, all of which were incredibly special to us because of an event or person we met there!
We really enjoyed the opportunities we had to meet and speak with
the Citizens of Bhutan.
Our guide, Jigme and our driver, Migma were so much fun to be with and so flexible about what we wanted to do! Jigme had read the emails I had sent to BMT and had planned an itinerary for us that included everything we wanted to do! In addition we learned so much about Bhutanese history and culture and Tibetan Buddhism.
The 10 days flew by; Bhutan Majestic Travel was so attentive to anything we wanted to do. We met Namgay, the Founder of BMT, on the trail as we were returning from Taktsang Lhakhang! And we also had the pleasure of meeting Tashi, the General Manager, in Thimphu! BMT takes such an interest in their clients.. very refreshing! Samtengang Winter Trek with Bhutan Majestic Travel
