A class 12 science student of Motithang Higher Secondary School has won an International Essay Contest. 17-year-old Bhuwan Giri won the essay competition on the subject “values for life.� The Essay Contest was organized by the Asia Pacific Leadership Program of the East-West Center and the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Hawaii. Bhuwan Giri will be attending the Pacific Educational conference in Honolulu hosted by the Hawaii Department of Education next month. A grant of up to 2,500 dollars will be provided by the East West Center to finance the five day travel. The Hawaii Department of Education will also provide 225 US dollars as conference registration fee for him. Source: BBS
