Students of Gauhati University performing the Bihu Dance, a popular folk dance of Assam, India. The dance performance was a part of the three-day cultural exchange programme held in Sherubtse College, Kanglung.

Students from both institutes performed cultural programmes, comprising mostly of folk and traditional songs and dances. The dean of Academic Affairs of Sherubtse, Dr. Shivaraj Bhattarai, said that the cultural exchange programme with Gauhati University, the nearest Indian university, was just a beginning that hoped to go beyond to academic interaction.

The team, consisting of 23 members including students, former students, professors, and the director of student welfare, left Sherubtse on September 22. The programme was proposed by Sherubtse College and supported by India-Bhutan Foundation, Embassy of India, Thimphu.
