The DPT President Jigmi Y Thinley met with the youth in capital on November 11. The meeting was held at the Kelki Higher Secondary School auditorium.

The DPT president highlighted the importance of youth participation in the democratic process.

More than 200 youth attended the meeting. The DPT President Jigmi Y Thinley urged the youth to give suggestions and share their concerns so that DPT can include them in their party manifesto.

Briefing the youth on the party’s policy objectives, the DPT President the party will focus on balanced regional development, and eradication of poverty.

Khandu Om is the youth coordinator of Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. She said today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow.

She said it is important for the youth to understand and take active participation in the democratic process.
