The National Land Commission Secretariat kick starts the sensitization training programme on the Land Act 2007 and its rules and regulations.
Training programme for Thimphu, Paro and Haa Dzongkhags started yesterda in Paro.
Officials from Thimphu City Corporation, Dzongkhags, Gewogs, Gups, Gaydrungs and Mangmis are attending the training programme.
The Land Act 2007 was enacted during the 87th session of the National Assembly in June of 2007.
The Secretary of the National Land Commission Secretariat, Sangay Khandu says that the training will help to have common understanding of the Land Act among Gaydrungs, Gups, Dzongkhag and Gewog officials.
He says it will also help to avoid misinterpretation of the rules and regulations of the Act in future.
