Druk Phuensum Tshogpa, the governing party is in the process of establishing eight bureaus which will help ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency.

The eight bureaus are Bureau of Policy and Planning, Bureau of Organization and Management, Bureau of Programmme Monitoring and Evaluation, Bureau of Youth and Employment, Bureau of Women Affairs, Bureau of Fund Raising, Bureau of Information and Bureau of Accounts and Administration.

Dr. Samdrup is one of the party members of Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. He said the Bureau of Policy and Planning will look after research, publication, documentation, formulation and analysis of policy matters.

The Bureau of Organization and Management will look at the party structure, human resource management and responsibilities of the party coordinators.

The Bureau of Programme Monitoring and Evaluation will see if the development works are carried out efficiently and effectively.

The Bureau of Youth and Employment will advocate and counsel youth on employment opportunities and the party’s policy and ideology.

The Bureau of Women Affairs will also provide counseling and create social awareness about party’s ideology and policy.

Organizing fund raising events, managing party assets and membership is the function of the Bureau of Fund Raising.

The Bureau of Information will maintain data about party and the government published journals and attend the meetings of the senior party officials.

The Bureau of Accounts and Administration will take care of budgets of the party, maintain accounts and look into administrative works and logistics.

The eight bureaus are expected to become operational once the party’s annual general meeting and the next Parliament session are over.
