A Bazaguru dungdrup recitation is underway at the Khuruthang Dungdrup Lhakhang in Punakha. Presided over by His Holiness the Je Khenpo Truelku Jigme Choedra, the prayer ceremony began on Saturday.

Monks of the Zhung Dratshang, business community members and people from nearby villages are taking part in it.

The Venerable Drabi Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang Sangay Dorji said the Bazaguru Dungdrup recitation is being conducted for the wellbeing of the kingdom. It is sponsored and organized by the Zhung Dratshang, Yab Ugyen Dorji, and business community members in Punakha.

Initiated in 2003, the prayer ceremony is an annual event. Source: BBS
