The National Museum in Paro boasts a brand new exhibition hall

The National Museum in Paro boasts a brand new exhibition hall, funded by the government of India at a cost of Nu 24.5 million. On October 29, Her Royal Highness Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck inaugurated the hall at a ceremony attended by senior government and elected leaders, the ambassador of India, Mr Sudhir Vyas, the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr Nicholas Rossellini and representatives of Paro society. Her Royal Highness also officially released eight books written by Bhutanese authors as a part of the centenary and coronation celebrations.
