Dear BMT,
I didd like to thank you to have made my trip to Bhutan such a wonderful and memorable one, albeit being pretty short, the times I spent in both Paro and Thimphu made me understand why this tiny landlocked country is called the Shangri-La. What I love most are the scenery mountains, forests, trees, rivers, the dzongs, you name it. My favorites are the Taktsang and the snow-capped Himalayan peaks; they are just beyond words to describe. Despite the fact that I am traveling solo, I feel safe and comfortable as the Bhutanese are amiable and pleasant people who always make me feel at home.
Special thanks to Namgay to have managed my pre-departure documents, and for all his hospitality and friendliness. My sincere gratitude to Pema, for being such a helpful and informative guide (he knows every single detail of Bhutan like the back of his hand!), and for assisting me so much especially when it comes to hiking, and to Choki, for being such a friendly driver who drove all of us safely throughout those long and winding roads. Appreciate it. Keep up the good work!
I read that starting 2011, the daily tour rate will be increased, well so before that new policy came into effect, I suggest that everyone out there who dreams of being in a paradise to actually go visit Bhutan beautiful, it’s peaceful, and it’s heavenly!
Best of luck and Tashi Delek!
Cheers,
Julie
