The Bhutan Board of Examination (BBE) office is closed most of the time these days and this is causing a lot of inconvenience for those who require its assistance.
People residing nearby said the office has remained locked for some time now.
Many people come here to process or replace their mark sheets.
Nineteen-year-old Passang Dorji had come all the way from Gedu to correct his date of birth in his class 10 mark sheet. He requires the paper urgently to pursue further studies.
The office is locked, he had to go back home disappointed. He was told to report to the office on 11 February when the concerned officer is back in the office.
Like Passang Dorji, many other people come here. As the office opened around 11 am yesterday, they all rushed to get their work done. There was just one official and though she did her best, they had to wait patiently in a cramped office.
The Controller of Examination, Sangay Tenzin, said all the officials are in Punakha where the classes X and XII exam papers are being examined. In case of urgent matters, he said people can come to Punakha. Source: BBS
