“My mate and I recently completed a 14 day trip to Bhutan (Sept. 2007) in the capable hands of Bhutan Majestic Travel. We visited cultural sites and festivities in Paro and Thimphu including the incredibly exotic Thimphu Drupchen and Taktsang monastery and did an 8 day Jhomolhari trek. Our guide had excellent cultural knowledge and organized and ran the trek very well. The food was varied and nutritious and our small crew did a great job. Our trip was a fascinating and fantastic experience and so much remains still to see and do. My impression of Bhutan is that it is a peaceful, prosperous and confident nation, unified by its adherence to Buddhism. A nice touch in Bhutan is all permanent buildings use the Bhutanese style of architecture even the airport, petrol stations and traffic cop shelters. I hope to return.”
