We had heard about Bhutan through enthusiastic friends and were very intrigued by this remote Himalayan kingdom. However, we were a bit nervous lest the place would not live up to our high expectations. But our fears vanished as soon as we settled into the impeccably tailored tour Bhutan Majestic Travel had prepared for us. Kencho´s and Tandin´s (our guide & driver) warmth, good humour, tact and experience made us feel immediately at home in a country that is about 30 hours flight away from home.

Not only are the views spectacular and the architecture fascinating but most important is the human atmosphere: the striking balance between deeply spiritual and robust earthly lives.

Bhutan should not be missed: next year Coronation could be an excellent opportunity to visit. We too look forward to going back, ten days gave us a taste of the place but next time we want to explore further into the interior. So many remote monasteries and villages beckon from their breathtaking ridges as you fleetingly drive by that we doubt one year would be enough to know them all.
